In 2016, Guangzhou SMIC Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. was established in Tianan Science and Technology Park, Panyu District, Guangzhou. In order to realize intelligent and unmanned retail services, the company established a development team of more than 20 people at the beginning of its establishment, dedicated to the development of software and hardware of unmanned vending machines.

In this year, the company successfully developed the first code-scanning vending machine and touch-screen vending machine to meet the sales needs of beverage and snack products.
